Karma doesn't help you in the game of SmallBall. It's simply a system here on the forums that allows you to give posters positive karma for a post that you like or approve of, and negative karma for a post that you don't approve of. I think the only people that will really be impressed / unimpressed by your karma are people new to the forums, as your karma rating is the only impression they have of you thus far.

IA, you hit the nail right on the head here.

If you notice someone that has truly helped you with the game, forums, etc.. give them a + Karma.. it'll help the newer guys know who they can look to for help, etc. The system itself gets abused alot at times.. but its really just another tool fo our usage..

its more of an enjoyment type thing, and shouldnt be taken very seriously. Just because someone may have -20 Karma doesn't mean they're necessarily a bad person..
