i have a reletively new team 614702 and they are doing well. so far i've only trained them in run, pitch, throw, and catch. how far or what is the highest star that just training those areas will get my team??

Some have said that running alone will get you to 6/7*... because it's both an offensive AND defensive skill.

I tend to believe that running ALONE will get you to 5 and MAYBE 6*.

My guess is the farthest you will get is 7 and possibly 8*...

ok thanks because i new eventually i would have 2 start offensive training, even though the best defense is the best offense. I have been winning games and when i lose its only by 2 or just 1 run. oh and pizza i challenged that team of yours the id is 14877.

develop a schedule for training

Schedules may help you make sure you evenly distribute skills, but they are not necessary.

I've never trained for more than a week with a schedule, and I still can hit and maintain 9*...

I run all position players when I start, until they are maxed. Then I move them to wherever they are the weakest.

I pitch my pitchers about 5 minutes or so, then I run them until maxed, then I move to weakest.

Easy schedule.

my defense is stellar this season so far with a pitcher era of 2.88 should be under 2.80 with a blowout win in pl game 20-1

We covered this exactly question in excruciating detail in this thread:

Also, although I remain solidly at 7*, I've yet to crack the 7* list when maxed out in all defensive skills and pitching. I think this answers the OP's question.

I don't think I need to repeat my STRONG dislike for training schedules. Your training needs are always changing and you need to be flexible, especially when you hit the upper PLs.

Not only that, but I think training schedules actually hinder your goal of distributing skill gains evenly (or whatever proportion you're seeking).
