Misc Help:

Can't log in to a team?
1) Password is case sensitive.
You need to type it in exactly as you did when you set it.
Check your Caps Lock button too.

2) Are you logging into the correct team?
Its easy to typo a team number, or transpose a couple digits.

3) Did you give out your master PW to someone else?
If so, then they probably changed it, and now control the team.

4) How do I get my team page linked to my SB forum account?
Your forum ID (found by placing your mouse pointer over your forum name) is 2066.
Fire up your SB loader.
Select "Settings", then "Change Profile".
Place your number 2066 in the field named "Forum ID".
Click "Update".
Smile and wait for your team page to update.

Set the resolution of your screen

DT needs Direct X 7 or better
Microsoft provides graphics drivers - DT needs Dx 7 or better to run smoothly.

To check yours: Start > Run > DXDIAG

Changing the shortcut target:
Right click on the smallball shortcut, choose properties and change the "Target" to read
"C:\My Games\SmallBall\start.jar"

Windows XP Fix (http://www.visualtour.com/downloads/xp_fix.exe)

Windows Vista:

There is a compatibility mode that can be easily set per application.
To configure the compatibility mode for an application, just locate the installation directory and right click on the .exe, selecting Properties from the menu.
Select the Compatibility tab.
You can choose to run the program in Windows XP compatibility mode, or even all the way back to Windows 95 compatibility.

How to change the DT FPS:
C:\my games\smallball\deluxe\deluxe.setup
Open the deluxe.setup file using Notepad, and edit away.

Note: Not all computers will actually give you the FPS you specify, due to older hardware.
This can (and probably will) mess up your computer clock.
(Use this tip at your own risk!)

For some reason, even if I turn off my firewall, my DT exits out saying disconnected from server.

Please ensure that your DT has access rights for the Internet.
Most firewalls allow access on a per application basis, and it treats the SmallBall client as a different program.
You should be able to adjust this manually in your firewall settings.

Direct Draw reported:
(A hardware only Direct Draw object creation was attempted but the driver did not support any hardware)

The display driver is responsible for implementing DirectDraw support.
If the display driver doesn't have the correct functionality, the DirectDraw middle-ware will return the failure you're seeing.

No connection to service:

Go to your SmallBall folder (c:\My Games\Smallball
Open the file named "Seed.setup" using notepad.

Find this line:

Change it to this line:

Save and close the file.
